Why Nuca

The specialists who keep OpenText estates running.

We work on the OpenText problems that sit between teams. It is the only thing we do.

Why Nuca exists

Most OpenText estates are supported by three suppliers and owned by none.

An OpenText estate has three layers: the platform, the business-administration layer above it and the database underneath. In most organisations those are split across different teams and different suppliers, each doing their part properly.

The problems that stay open longest are the ones that fall between them. The platform team, the database team and the vendor each look at it and correctly conclude it is not theirs.

Nuca was set up to cover all three as one service, so those problems belong to somebody.

One service

One point of contact

Specialist expertise, not general IT

The kind of work we get called for

We are usually brought in when something has been going on for a while.

Rarely a clean new project. More often an estate that is short-handed, an incident that keeps returning, or a platform that has quietly drifted behind while everyone was busy.

The diagnoses tend to look like this.

A missing composite index

A missing composite index on a heavily-read configuration table, where the symptom shows in the application while the evidence sits in the database.

Diagnosis 01

An authentication fault that clears on restart

An authentication fault that clears on restart and turns out to be a firewall idle timeout killing pooled database connections.

Diagnosis 02

A configuration value that resets on upgrade

A configuration value that resets on upgrade and cannot be reproduced anywhere except production.

Diagnosis 03

None of those are anybody's fault. They are the problems that span two systems owned by two teams, where each side is looking at something that appears to be working correctly.

How we work

One team, senior-led, alongside yours.

One SLA.

One team accountable for the outcome, across all three layers. An incident is diagnosed once, not handed between vendors.

Senior-led.

The person who picks up is the person who closes it. No junior triage layer.

Alongside your team.

We take the operational load, not the credit. Your specialists keep their knowledge and their standing.

Where we work

Environments where downtime has consequences beyond inconvenience.

Regulated and business-critical estates: a European reinsurer, a global pharmaceutical group, a defence-sector estate. EU-based, GDPR-aligned by default, supporting customers across the UK, Ireland, DACH and the wider EU.

A small senior team by design. You will know who is running your estate, and so will they.

Why customers choose Nuca

What changes when one team owns the whole estate.

Reduced key-person dependency

One support relationship instead of three

Existing OpenText expertise, no ramp-up

Faster resolution on problems that cross layers

Operational stability, and predictable monthly cost

Support for internal teams, not replacement of them

If you work with OpenText customers

A note for partners.

We do not do implementations, migrations, custom development or licences. We run what is already live. If someone else built it, they keep that relationship.

If you deliver OpenText projects, software or infrastructure and your customers need someone to run the estate afterwards, that is where we fit.

Next step

Is your OpenText environment becoming harder to support?

Start with your own estate rather than a sales call. OpenText estate health: 15 checks worth running is a self-check written to be run without us, with no form and no gate.
